I’ve just taken a train from Milan Central Station. To get there, I had to take a crowded bus. I would have rather gone by bike, but I had no choice, because I will be away for two days and I don’t feel safe leaving my bike there. In Milan Central Station, as well as in Garibaldi or any other train station in Milan, there’s no safeguarded parking space for bikes and if I left mine there, I am sure I wouldn’t find it anymore on my way back. That’s old news but considering today’s need of reducing significantly the pressure on public transports, more emphasis should be given to the matter. Nowadays, I can literally buy anything at the train station, from perfumes to the most pointless stuff, but not an essential service such as a secure deposit for my bike.
